A Quick Fix for Flyaways

About to head out the door, only to notice a nimbus of flyaways throwing off your look? Try this emergency fix: Smooth a dryer sheet down your strands from roots to ends. You can also lightly spritz hair spray onto your brush and run it through your hair.

In the future, you can save your strand sanity by using a mild shampoo for dry hair; and stick with conditioner, which rids your hair of negative ions, the culprits behind flyways and static. A buildup of negative ions on hair shafts from excessive combing or wind (or cold temperatures, when they hit) causes individual strands to repel one another.

Find the best smoother for your hair.

This is the very reason our emergency kit is always stocked with dryer sheets! We can’t tell you the number of brides that look at us like we are nuts when we whip out a dryer sheet. Then the magic happens and they are in awe!

Why don’t you monitor comments so that you can remove those that do not speak to the article?
