A Trick to Help Reduce Laundry

Clothespins

If you have a house full of kids (or houseguests!) use permanent markers to write everyone’s name on clothespins, then attach each clothespin to the appropriate towel. When all of the towels are hanging in the same bathroom, you’ll avoid mix-ups, allowing each person to use their designated towel more than once.

    This doesn’t make sense to me at all. Who wants to use a towel more than once – even if you aren’t sharing it with other family members. I live alone and never have to worry about anyone else using my towels, but I still would never use one more than once. I am all for being frugal and love many Real Simple ideas, but this one just strikes me as GROSS!

    @TR, I think MOST people use a towel more than once. I’m guessing that single-use towel users are in the minority.
