Woman with long, wet hair

The summer may be the best time to enjoy the great outdoors, but all that fun in the sun can do a number on your locks. To prevent the sun and chlorine from damaging your hair, follow two smart tips from celebrity hairstylist Kristan Serafino:

-Wet down and condition hair (but don’t rinse!) before swimming to keep hair from absorbing chlorine.

-When spending time in the sun, pin hair into a twist or chignon. Wearing your hair down or in a ponytail exposes more to damaging ultraviolet rays.

if you also want to prevent sun damage on your skin but you do not like or forget to put on sunscreen every 2 or 3 hours, you can use a solar protection clothing or driving sleeves or a new thing that I found called KootzaBlouse. Be sure that the fabric has a UPF minimum of 30 to avoid skin problems
