You may think of fireworks as synonymous with the Fourth of July, but according to a new survey from coupon website Offers.com, “oohing” and “aahing” at the annual attraction isn’t America’s favorite way to celebrate its independence. That honor goes to the humble outdoor barbecue (41 percent of respondents said it’s the highlight of the day; 36 percent said they like  fireworks better.)

If you’ve yet to outfit your deck for your own 4th of July bash (which you now know is a must), wait until July 2 to shop for what you need. That’s when you’ll see the best deals on grills, patio furniture and swimsuits, say the Offers.com experts.

As for the party itself, try one of Real Simple‘s 3 perfect menus—one for meat eaters, one for vegetarians, and one for seafood lovers.

Hi there! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest authoring a blog post or vice-versa? My site discusses a lot of the same topics as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other. If you are interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Superb blog by the way!
