How to Dress Up an Unused Fireplace

It’s safe to say, at this point in the year, most of us are utilizing our air conditioners rather than our fireplaces. Once you’ve cleaned your fireplace, here’s a simple way to give this area of your home a little love during the warmer months.

Brighten up your space by placing an indoor or outdoor plant (potted, of course) in the hearth. Make sure to choose a type that doesn’t require a lot of sunlight, like a fern or the Song of India dracaena pictured here.
