How to Make Iced Coffee (or Tea) at Home

Iced Coffee and Tea

Simply mixing your regular coffee or tea with ice dilutes the intensity and often results in weak and watery iced brews. Give your drink more muscle by making it double-strength.

For coffee, use 1/4 cup ground beans for every cup of water; for tea, use two tea bags for every cup of water. Then chill, pour over ice, and drink up.

    You could also make ice cubes out of coffee and tea and use coffee/tea ice instead of water ice.

    If you are serious about making great iced coffee, google cold brew iced coffee. Cold brewing makes a far less bitter drink than pouring hot coffee over ice, or letting it chill in the frig. You’ll never regret cold brew!!

    WHY does my plain iced tea turn cloudy?! I’ve tried boiling the water, steeping the Lipton Orange Pekoe black tea bags, then cooling before placing in fridge. Still cloudy. I cannot figure this out. Anyone?
