One Way to Prevent Showing Your Age

Does your hand cream have SPF in it? It should! The skin on the back of your hands is one of the places that will show early signs of age because your skin is thinner there and loses elasticity more quickly than other areas of your body. It’s also more prone to sun damage, so you should look for a hand cream that has SPF already built in and apply it a couple of times a day, more if you spend time outside or in the car.

Our beauty team recommends Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Age Shield Hand Cream SPF 30, which is available at drugstores.

I couldn’t agree more. On the whole I don’t look any where near my age apart from my hands. I have a few liver spots on the backs of my hands which really give the game away. I honestly wish I had taken as much care over my hands as I did my face. Take heed!

I’ll be 60 in Sept and my hands still look like they belong to a 20 year old!! I do use a lot of hand cream, and always apply before bed. I’ve used the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream and it’s great. I used it mostly on my feet though, trying to keep those young too, lol. I hate to wear shoes in hot weather and that’s hard on my feet, and I know it’s not good for them, as per the podiatrist.

Good tip! I always rub my extra nighttime moisturizer on the backs of my hands.

I don’t like how greasy plus thick sunscreen is. I already utilize a daily facial moisturizer that contains SPF along with a hand cream that contains SPF. But what are wise daily body lotions or creams that contain SPF?
