Fabric Yardages for Upholstery

If you’re looking for a way to revamp your living room, reupholstering a piece of furniture is a great way to do so. If you’re thinking of changing up the fabric on one of your beloved pieces, bookmark this site: DIY Upholstery Supply Yardage Estimator.

It lists the approximate amount of fabric in yards (assuming the fabric you are looking at comes in 54-inch bolts) you will need for common pieces of furniture. Of course you’ll still have to get an estimate from your upholsterer of how much you’ll need to buy exactly, but it will help you in planning your budge for the project. The site also lists how much fabric is needed for common bedding items, curtains, and other household goods.
