The Easiest Way to Store Your Vacuum
What’s worse than dragging my bulky, bothersome vacuum cleaner all over my apartment? Wrangling it out of the tiny, overstuffed closet we store it in! (Not sure if you can tell, but I really, really hate to vacuum.) Happily, I’ve just uncovered a classic Real Simple storage trick that should make accessing this appliance less tiresome. Instead of just shoving the vacuum into the closet—hose and all—I’m going to install a big hook (see photo) front and center in the closet. By hanging the hose on this hook, I’ll be able to free up floor space, and grab the whole contraption in one swoop. It’s the little things, right?
What minor alterations have you made to the way you store cleaning products and tools, that have made your scrubbing, dusting and yes, vacuuming, routines easier?
