Smart or Silly: The Cake Vase
Have you ever decorated a cake with flowers? I never have, but there’s a new product that might make a little bit easier, if you do. It’s called the CakeVase. It’s a plastic disc that has indents to hold the flower stems atop your cake. It comes in several sizes; take a look:
You can buy this set on Amazon for $19, or see other retailers here.
The idea of flower stems in a cake makes me a little squirmy, so I love that this prevents any contact. But I don’t know if this is something I’d actually use often enough to justify having it.
Do you bake often enough that you’d buy the cake vase? Or is it a unitasker that doesn’t make the cut for your baking supplies?

I might use this if I can think of enough additional uses for it, as I don’t abide single use items hanging around in my kitchen. Also, I’m trying to imagine how one would slice and serve that beautiful cake without removing the whole top and spoiling the beauty anyway.
It’s dishwasher safe and can be reused indefinitely. It’s also easy to remove. The website has information on how to use it.
The presentation is so beautiful, completely changes the simple cake into something super extraordinary! When it is time to eat the cake, no one rally cares what it looks like anymore anyway…lovin’ the CakeVase!
Looks like a winner! Perfect for QVC. Best of luck.
I love adding flowers to the cakes that I decorate. I decorated a birthday cake for a male friend of mine and he loved it. While I did not use as many flowers as shown in the picture above I can see where using the CakeVase would make the arrangement a lot more stable, you know how it can get when you have to transport your cake. Great idea!
