Rental Damage Left By Kids from Apartment Therapy
Our little boy has officially entered the toddler years and I am beginning to understand the strong need for cabinet locks, toilet clamps, sharp edge protectors, socket covers, gates on the stairs, ect.
The number one reason is, of course, for the safety of your child, but number two (and what I am currently learning), to decrease overall damage to your home, or rental house when it comes to my family.
According to our friends at ApartmentTherapy.com, the top 5 kinds of rental damage left by kids are:
1. Kitchen Doors and Towel Racks Torn Off
2. Drawing on the Walls
3. Toys in the toilet
4. Holes/Tears in the Window Screens
5. Holes in the Walls
Check out the full article here, as well as solutions to these common problems.
And, to be perfectly honest, number 5 sparked my attention the most since it happened to me this morning (note to self: adding toilet clamp to this week’s shopping list).
