Easy Activity to Entertain Kids in Waiting Rooms
I love this idea from Tot Treasures for these easy-t0-make activity sticks that will keep your kids busy while waiting for a table at a restaurant or in the waiting room at a doctor’s office. And all it takes to make them is a trip to the office supply store.
You’ll need:
- a pencil case or pouch
- an assortment of craft sticks
- adhesive Velcro circles
Then simply attach the Velcro circles on each end of the craft sticks, and store inside the pencil case. When you’re out and about (or even when you’re home) your child can build all kinds of letters, shapes, and designs. Plus, it’ll fit easily in your purse and if you lose one stick it’s easy to replace—just make a new one!
How do you keep your little ones entertained at restaurants or doctors’ offices?

We have 5 kids. (Yeah, I know. What were we thinking?) And the best way to keep them entertained when we go out or travel is audiobooks. And lots of ‘em! There are lots of sites were you can download them, but here’s one we use a lot because all the stories are free. And they’re original. Not just Red Riding Hood over and over again. Here’s the link if anyone is interested. http://www.twirlygirlshop.com/stories-for-kids
