MAKERS Documentary: 177 Inspiring Women
Last night, I did something I rarely do—I sat down and watched three full hours of television. I tuned in to the first airing of MAKERS a documentary about the “women who make America,” a joint production between PBS and AOL.
It was so fascinating to me to see stories about so many firsts for women: the first woman to run the Boston Marathon (shown above), the first woman to conduct a major orchestra, the first female NYC firefighter, and many others.
Check out the inspiring stories of 177 women with individual interviews, or watch the whole documentary online here. Then tell us what your favorite interview was.

I also watched this wonderful special on PBS….growing up in the 60′s and 70′s it brought back many memories and the reality that we still need to fight to ensure women have equality.
