Dish Soap and Toothbrush

When it comes to cleaning your jewelry, a mild dish soap and a soft-bristled toothbrush are the most important things to have on hand. With those two tools you can clean most any kind of jewelry. For silver necklaces and rings, it’s good to have a polishing cloth or cream, and ammonia can help return a diamond’s sparkle, but all you really need is dish soap, water, and toothbrush.

    I would be careful with toothpaste on different types of jewelry though. I also read some great tips on cleaning jewelry and storing it from Clean Jewelry
