Have You Heard About the New iPhone App Mailbox?
There’s been a lot of buzz recently about the new iPhone app Mailbox. It’s a new way of thinking about e-mail on your smart phone from the makers of the Orchestra to-do list app. Basically, they realized that most people look at their e-mail inboxes as a type of to-do list. So they wanted a way to help people organize those e-mails, clear out the clutter, and get to Inbox Zero. Take a look at the video to see how Mailbox works:
I’m excited to try out the app, but there are a couple of limitations (ones that will go away as they continue to work on it I’m sure). First, it’s only available for iPhone, second it only works with Gmail e-mail accounts. And last, even though you can download the app, there’s a pretty hefty wait list to get access. I currently have about 70,000 people in front of me in line (sigh). I know they are doing this so users have a better experience and it won’t crash their system, but what can I say, patience isn’t my number one virtue.
Tell me what you think in the comments. Are you going to get a place in line for access to the Mailbox app?

I have 561,585 people in front of me. I’m interested to see if the hype is worth the wait.
Oh boy, I have 758,935 people in front of me… Hope it’s a matter of days and not weeks!
Well, I got access to the app last night so it took about 4 days. I’m going to have to spend some time playing around with it, but it looks pretty good so far. The only thing I don’t like is that I can’t sync my Gmail labels.
This app looks really cool. I think I would enjoy this better than the mail app that comes with the iphone. Im excited to try this out!
