Woman applying sunscreen
Though I know it’s important all year long, sunscreen isn’t something I typically think to use during the winter months but, as I hit the slopes this past weekend, I did remember to dig out my sun block. Why? According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, a combination of higher altitude and the snow’s reflection can increase the risk of sun damage to your skin (snow actually reflects more sun than sand!).

Here’s what to look for in a sunscreen and a list of the best sunscreens. More winter beauty tips and tricks.

For dry skin on my face I use Apothederm http://apothederm.com/
They have an amazing moisturizing cleanser and moisturizing cream. They work better than anything else I’ve tried.

I remember when i came back from a long day of skiing and my face was completely red, I got a real bad burn, and my skin was in a bad state.
