In 2013, Target Will Match Amazon’s Prices
Earlier this week Target announced that they have extended and expanded their price-matching program to include online retailers like Amazon. Likely an attempt to combat Amazon’s Price Check app which enables consumers to scan an item in a store and find out if they can get it cheaper on Amazon. Target is hoping that if consumers can get the lowest price and walk out of the store with their desired item, they’ll be buying in a Target store instead.
