Look Slimmer in Seconds
Strategic color-blocking goes a (very) long way.
Dresses, tops, and skirts that have darker-colored panels on the outside create the visual effect of negative space—now you see it, now you don’t!—and the eye is drawn only to the slim, brighter-colored panels. A dress like this one from Calvin Klein works wonders for busty women, hip-y women, or anyone who wants to whittle down or carve out a smaller-looking waist. (And it gets bonus points for being made of ponte, a thick double-knit fabric that won’t show every lump and bump.)

THIS is a trend we can all love: a more practical trend!
the model really looks slimmer. do you have a picture of a fat person wearing that dress? i want to see whether they will also look slimmer
I agree with Louise…when you start with a stick thin model – it’s pretty easy to look “thinner”. Let’s see a normal sized lady in that same dress…we ain’t all size 2!
