There are approximately 20 million bubbles in a glass of champagne, according to the journal American Scientist. And on New Year’s Eve, you’ll want to treat your tastebuds—not your tablecloth—to every last one. The key: Chill the bottle for 30 to 45 minutes, then open it slowly, turning the cork a sixteenth of an inch with each twist.
