3 Ways to Keep Kids Entertained in the Car
If you’re trying to keep your kiddies away from your iPad (and can only tolerate so many hours of holiday sing-alongs), you’ll need a few activities to prevent whining during your pre- and post-Christmas travels. Here are three games to try:
1. I Spy. Run through the alphabet, such as “I spy something that begins with the letter A.” Then let the guessing begin.
2. Who Are They?: Choose another group on the road and make up stories about where they’re from and where they’re going.
3. Vehicle Count: Have kids practice their counting skills with goals like “Find 25 green cars.” Older children can guess how many pickup trucks or police cars will pass in 10 minutes. The winner chooses the music.
