Forget Cyber Monday, Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday
Now that we’ve survived Black Friday, and have almost made it through Cyber Monday. It’s time to remember one of the most important parts of the holiday season—giving back. That’s why the 92 Y in New York and The United Nations Foundation have partnered to launch the first ever Giving Tuesday, as a way to kick off the charitable season.
The best part? There are several ways for your donation to go farther on Giving Tuesday. Many projects listed on the Giving Tuesday site have corporate donors who will match money given on November 27th (or longer in some cases). Visit GivingTuesday.org for more info, and to find out how you can get involved.
Plus, don’t for get that we’re donating money for every share and tweet on our charity blog posts.
We’re donating $1 for every Facebook share, Facebook like, and Tweet (up to $1,000) on the posts tagged charity from November 15th on. The donations will go to Donor’s Choose projects that have been started to help classrooms affected by the storm.
You can find out more about Donor’s Choose here, and we’ll let you know when we’ve reached our $1,000 goal. So, start sharing and help us get these classes back in session.
