An Easy DIY Advent Calendar
The holiday season is officially in gear, and even though I don’t celebrate Christmas, I’m still excited about all the festive fun, from the lights to the parties to the cookies to the department store windows. One of the most charming December traditions—in my humble, outsider opinion—is the daily Advent calendar. If you don’t have one, why not make this simple version before December 1? Simply gather and fill a bunch of containers (jars, soup cans, boxes) with holiday treats. The cans pictured (which we painted white) are big enough to hold a couple of hershey kisses, a favorite ornament for the tree, a new nail polish—whatever you have around! Top them off with colorful tissue and label from 1 to 25 with number stickers (or a permanent marker). Then let the countdown begin!
