When it comes to caring for your hair where should you be dropping more dough: on your shampoo or your conditioner? Turns out it’s better for your tresses to spend more on your conditioner. Why? Because even though you’re rinsing both products down the drain, expensive salon conditioners are better at penetrating your strands and keeping hair healthy.  Shampoo, on the other hand, is created mostly equal. The drugstore versions will cleanse hair just as well as the expensive brands. The only exception is when it comes to color-treated hair. You’ll want to spend a bit more on your shampoo to make sure your color doesn’t fade, sending you back to the salon before you’re due.
