We all know how you’re supposed to sort your clothing and linens for the washing machine, but did you know that you should be using a different sorting method for the dryer?

When you’re doing multiple loads of laundry, try to sort your clothing into slow-drying (jeans and sweatshirts) and quick-drying (khakis and dress shirts) loads. If you put everything in the dryer together, the quick-drying items will be in there longer than necessary and the extra heat and tumbling time can cause those pieces to wear and fray faster.
