Did you know that it’s National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day? Sounds like a good holiday to celebrate, but if you don’t want the temptation of having a whole batch of freshly baked cookies in your home, use this trick to freezing the dough.

Start by measuring out scoops of dough (using a small spring loaded ice cream scoop) on to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the sheet in the freezer fro approximately 15 to 20 minutes until the dough is firm. Then remove the balls from the baking sheet and store in an freezer-safe container for up to three months.

When you’re ready to bake a few cookies no need to thaw the dough, just add a few extra minutes to the normal cooking time.

Here are a few recipes to get you started:

Classic Chocolate-Chip Cookies
Mocha Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chocolate-Chunk Cookies
Toffee-Oat Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies
Double Chocolate-Chip Cookies
White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies

What’s your favorite kind of cookie?
