Hello, Bossypants!

Hi, fellow book lovers, 30 Rock fans, and Real Simple loyalists! I’m so excited to meet you. Please allow me to introduce myself: I’m Leigh Torretta, your go-to girl for the next month as we dive into Bossypants, by Tina Fey. I’m also RealSimple.com’s advertising account manager—please come to me with any of your book clubbing or advertising needs.

When choosing the book selections this month, I sought recommendations from my mom and sister. But, ultimately, my own choice won (you love me, you really love me!). I couldn’t BE more excited to read Tina Fey’s Bossypants.

Tina, if you’re reading this and need any extras, I’ll meet you at 30 Rock in about 5 minutes.

Now that we’re all close friends, let’s begin!

For Friday, April 6, we’ll dive right in to pages 3 to 80, “Introduction” through “Young Men’s Christian Association.”

We’ll continue on April 13 with pages 81 to 162, “The Windy City Full of Meat” through “Amazing, Gorgeous, Not Like That.”

Then, on April 20, let’s chat about pages 163 to 236, “Dear Internet” through “Sarah, Oprah, and Captain Hook.”

We’ll finish on April 27 with pages 237 to 276, “There’s a Drunk Midget in My House” through “What Should I Do With My Last Five Minutes?”

Throughout the month, I want to hear from all of you—especially if you have any stories to share involving tipsy little people. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!
