How to replace heel tips

If you’re hard on your pumps, one of the first things to wear out will be the tips on the end of the heels. Luckily, you won’t need to take them to a cobbler to get them fixed. Instead, replace the tips yourself, all it takes is a pair of pliers, replacement tips, and a hammer. Just follow these steps:

  • Using the pliers remove the old heel tip. Twisting the plastic left to right while pulling with the pliers will help remove it easily.
  • Insert the correct size and shape of replacement tip. You can find a sizing guide here.
  • Hammer the replacement tip gently back into the shoe. It can also help to tap it on the floor or another hard surface.

And just like that your pumps are as good as new.
