Salt, like baking soda, is one of those multipurpose products that people generally associate with cooking. But regular old table salt can help you clean up dinner in addition to helping prepare it.
If you have pan (non-stick only) that’s greasy or if you’ve splattered oil on your stove or countertop, pour a bit of salt over the top of the grease or oil. It will absorb the liquid, allowing you to brush it off the pan or counter and then clean as normal.
