Seal a Plastic Bag with an Iron

Leave it to the folks at Lifehacker to share this smart tip on how to turn any old plastic bag into a “resealable” plastic bag with a common household appliance.

To keep pantry staples like brown sugar, rice, or dried lentils fresh without having to use a zippered plastic bag, simply fold down the open end of the bag, wrap foil around it, and iron it until the plastic has fused.  The contents will stay fresh until next time.

Tell us, what do you think of this idea? Is it eco-friendly and brilliant or does it take too much time to be practical?
