Solutions for Little (Over)indulgences
So let’s say you went to a holiday party took the all-you-can-eat buffet at its name. There are a few things you can do to prevent your overindulgence from becoming a major bellyache.
- Skip the nap. As good as it might feel to lie down, it won’t help your food digest. Instead stay up for 3 to 4 hours after eating. Or even better…
- Go for a stroll. Don’t go running a marathon, but a brisk walk will help speed up digestion.
- And, surprise, loosen your belt. Not only is the added pressure uncomfortable it can also make heartburn worse.
