Gingery Apple Crumb Pie

If you’ve been charged with deciding on the Thanksgiving dessert recipes this year, opt for fruit pies because you can make them this weekend and pop them in the freezer until Thanksgiving day.

According to our friends over at The Kitchn, making a fruit pie ahead of time and freezing it is the best option because the crust will start to bake before the filling thaws entirely meaning it won’t soak up the juices it normally does and will turn out perfectly flaky. You’ll just have to add some extra time in the oven. Click over to The Kitchn for full instructions.

And tell us what kind of Thanksgiving desserts you’ll be making in the next week?
