Like Rebecca, I have a small amount of space to use for a trash/recycling set up in my kitchen. I chose to go with a stacking bin system from Ikea that was originally designed for toys, but works perfectly from keeping my plastics, aluminum, and paper separated.
I bought the TROFAST frame and three storage bins to set next to my refrigerator.
I got the whole set up for less than $65, and it has lasted me several years and a couple of apartments.
You can find several other stackable recycling systems on the market as well, here are a few to check out:
How do you keep your recycling organized in your kitchen?
