Have you ever created your own face mask straight from what’s in your kitchen? Often, many great fruits and veggies can work wonders for your skin. I recently met Tony Silla, co-owner and head esthetician of Face Place in Los Angeles, and took the opportunity to ask for a great recipe that would be easy to make and good for your skin.
The makings for Tony’s favorite winter at-home face mask are likely right in your fridge: one whole peach and one whole avocado, which combined can give you glowing, moisturized skin. Mush together the peach and the avocado to make a paste. Apply to your face, leaving it on for 20 minutes. Then rinse off with warm water.
Tony explained that “the avocado is abundant in essential oils and B-complex vitamins that will nourish your skin. Vitamin B3 is the perfect anti-inflammatory to soothe irritated and red, blotchy skin.” Great for the winter months, with all those harsh winds and drastic weather changes.
