How To Make Your Blush Last Longer

Even if I don’t have time to put on entire make up routine, I always make time to quickly swipe on some blush. I have multiple that I love–Benefit Cosmetics, Smashbox, and Stila Cosmetics. The list is practically endless and tend to choose different shades or brands depending on the day. My only problem is that I usually need to reapply around 1 or 2 p.m. I decided to go to an expert for some tips on how to make my rosy cheeks last longer.

After taking a poll around the office, I realize this is a problem lots of people have. I went NARS make up artist, Jenny Smith to get a quick solution. She suggestion to first apply a cream blush, then brush on the powder second. She explained that, “the cream-to-powder formula will act like a base for the powder blush, so that they stick to each other for a healthy pop of long-wearing color.” Since hearing Jenny’s tip, I’ve been hooked on layering different brands and colors to get a customized look.

My current favorites are NARS Multiple in Orgasm ($39, narscosmetics.com) under Benefit’s Sugar Bomb Face Powder ($28, benefitcosmetics.com).
