Don’t worry if you and your brand new leather boots get caught in a freak fall rainstorm, they aren’t ruined. Just follow these tips to make sure they dry properly:

• Stuff them with newspaper to maintain the shape of your boots, and to help speed up the drying process.
• For leather boots: Condition with a colorless leather lotion.
• For suede boots: Remove water marks with a suede eraser. (Or an emery board for smaller marks.)
