It’s rare that something comes along that truly thrills me.
But when it does, it’s usually something that’s small but GENIUS.
Enter the Callet. It’s small, it’s genius—it actually solves a problem. At the risk of sounding a bit too enthusiastic: I’m in love.
It’s a simple, gel-like case for your smart phone (iPhone or Blackberry compatible at this point) that has two slits on the back—just like those you’d have in a wallet. You can slip in your subway pass, a $20 bill, a credit card–whatever you need. Basically, it’s the perfect thing for when you’re going for a run and want to have a few vital items with you. Or perhaps you’re going shopping but don’t want to carry a purse, or even a wallet. The ideal solution!
I’ve used it at work, when running out to grab a sandwich (I stuck my debit card in it and just slid it into my pocket). I use it every day on the subway, since my MTA card is now in there. I’ve tucked in my ID and a few dollars when heading out for a run—just to be safe.
Basically, it’s divine. The slits are snug, but not overly so. Not bulky, not geeky, not OVERladen with pockets—just perfect. I may need to get one in every color. (I also know what I’ll be stuffing loved ones’ stockings with this year!)
By the way, I know that some might say it has the “As Seen on TV” taint, but this is actually one product I’d be happy to order off of the tube!
Plus, I know I’m not alone in my love for the Callet because since beginning to use it Every.Single.Person who has glimpsed it (cashiers, friends, coworkers) has quickly inquired about it and asked how they too could get it! At just $20 it’s well worth the money. Available at thecallet.com
