Friday Find: CityMaps For Shopping and Beyond

Even with the simplistic street grid system in New York City, I find myself getting turned around all the time–which is why I’m especially excited about my new discovery: CityMaps.

CityMaps serves as a one-stop shop for hyper-local and real-time information about neighborhood places. Through our interactive map, you can access local information such as:

  • Reviews
  • Menus
  • Restaurant reservations
  • Online food ordering (coming soon!)
  • Movie names, show times, trailers, and ticket purchases
  • Broadway show information and tickets (coming soon!)
  • Parking rates

As well as real time information such as:

  • Daily specials and deals
  • Tweets and updates

Whether I’m mapping out a Saturday filled with errands, trying to finding the closest Greek restaurant or doing some major shopping, it’s all laid out perfectly through this amazing site.

Since I’m in full wedding planning mode, I recently used CityMaps to help me come up with a Mother-Of-The-Bride dress shopping excursion plan.

My mother and I wanted to start at Lord & Taylor and work our way to Bloomingdale’s, so the site made it extremely easy to see all the great shops and boutiques in between the two points. Brilliant!

And, checkout this op-ed piece that Aaron Rudenstine, one of CityMap’s founders, wrote for the Huffington Post yesterday.

Happy Friday!
