Save Money at Smaller Airports

Bigger doesn’t always mean better, and certainly not faster when it comes to airports. If you already opt for smaller regional airports because they are easier to travel through, you might also be able to save some money by going with the less-traveled hub.

For example, if flying from Ohio to New York City, you can save $50 per ticket by flying out of Akron-Canton instead of Cleveland. When searching for tickets on an aggregator site like Kayak, simply select the option to compare nearby airports and see how much you can save.

Are you taking a family vacation this summer? If so, what are your best money-saving travel tips?
