Cute Sandals…for Ugly Feet

I recently received a distressed note from a reader about shoes and the trouble she was having finding pretty sandals (read: not closed-toe flats) for her not-so-pretty feet. I quickly realized that she had made a valid point. As a runner, my feet are often callused and blistered, and I’m sure that other athletes and non-athletes alike suffer from similar issues. I decided to do a little investigating, and here’s what I came up with: Three great styles that will totally transform your feet from drab to fab just like that.

Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole “Break My Heart” sandals, $185, zappos.com.

Gentle Souls Break My Heart Sandals

Why they’re great: The trendy strappy design just so happens to be extra distracting, keeping people’s focus on the shoes and off of your feet.

Mossimo “Pilar” Strappy Wedge Sandals, $30, target.com.

Why they’re great: Nude blends in with a range of skin tones, camouflaging even the worst of flaws. The three-inch wedge means you can wear these with both casual and dressy looks.

Naturalizer “Alina” Heels, $89, naturalizer.com.

Why they’re great: This updated mule is sophisticated while providing ample coverage.

Now tell me: Do any of these styles resonate with you?
