Use a Cart to Make Better Choices at the Grocery Store

It might seem counterintuitive, but according to a new study (see the complete PDF here), opting for a cart over a basket at the grocery store will help you make better choices about what you put in it.

Apparently, when you have your arms bent, holding the basket, you’re more likely to pick up impulse products versus when you have your arms stretched out pushing the cart.

Just be sure that you’re only buying what you need, and not trying to fill the cart.
