How to Recycle Eyeglasses

Whether you have prescription glasses or sunglasses that you no longer wear, don’t just ditch them. Instead, donate them to someone who can’t afford lenses on their own.

There are two organizations that will take your old glasses off your hands:

New Eyes for the Needy: Simply mail your old glasses to their offices, and they will donate them to those in need both in the United States and over seas.

One Sight: Or if you prefer to drop off your glasses, you can visit LensCrafters, Target Optical locations, or select eye doctors who will collect your glasses for One Sight, which also donates used frames and lenses to people in need.
