One of the best things about ice cream (aside from our ice cream social, of course): ice cream cake. But cutting one can be rather tricky, especially since they are (or should be) rock hard when you take it out of the freezer. The trick to slicing one clean and easy? Heat up your knife.
Right before you’re ready to start serving up cake, run the blade of your chef’s knife under very hot water. Then wipe it dry and start slicing. The knife should glide smoothly through the cake. Then just reheat it as necessary.
