Julee’s Wedding Countdown: Ariel Gordon Wedding Bands

As many of you who have been following me on this amazing journey know, my fiance proposed with a bracelet. And lovely one at that!

But now it’s time to talk rings! So, when it came to figuring out what we were going to do in terms of our wedding bands I knew just who to call…Ariel Gordon.

Ariel Gordon is the amazingly talented, LA-based designer behind her eponymous line of beautiful jewelry that was launched in 2009. She was trained in metalsmithing and stone setting at the renowned Revere Academy. Ariel was named the winner of ShopStyle’s 2009 emerging designer contest and her work has been featured on the pages of countless magazines.

We have worked together over the past few years on various Real Simple stories and I quickly fell in love with her and her inspiring designs. Ariel takes great pride in creating jewelry that is not only stunning to look at, but also versatile. Women cherish their Ariel Gordon pieces as everyday staples.

I can attest. You just don’t want to take off any of her exquisite pieces and you don’t have to since they work seamlessly with whatever you’re wearing. With that said, it was a no-brainer that this jewelry genius just had to create our wedding bands. And the fact that she is a dear friend is the sweet icing on the cake!

So without further ado, here are our customized rings. Gorgeous, right?

I wanted to stick with rose gold (it’s my favorite type of metal and what my bracelet is made out of) and have the band thin enough for stacking. That’s right, I plan on many anniversaries and a few push-gifts to support my soon-to-be-hubby’s stacking responsibilities (hehehe)! It was also important that my ring complimented the design of my bracelet.

For his ring, he wanted something very simple yet strong (it’s made of white gold). I love the duo ridges and rounded edges–a great modern take on a classic design.

I just can’t wait to get these beauties on our fingers!
