How to Keep White Jeans White

Don’t let the inevitable spills and stains that come with wearing white jeans (they just seem to attract dirt and kids with sticky fingers, don’t they?) get you down. You can keep them bright white with just a few easy tricks.

1. Only wear them 1 or 2 times before laundering them.

2. Skip the bleach if they have any kind of stretch or material other than cotton in them. Using bleach on a pair that isn’t 100 percent cotton will cause slight yellowing.

3. Wash with an additive-free oxygen bleach instead.

4. Use a laundry brightener every few washes or whenever the seams start to look dingy.
