I am officially less than 100 days away from my wedding (September 24th)! Yipee!
It’s been quite the journey planning this oh-so-important event. And through it all I have learned a lot about myself and just how crafty and thrifty I can be. I’ve had a lot of help along the way as well!
With that said, each Monday I will be sharing with you all the fun projects, products and resources I’ve used to pull my wedding together. So far I’ve been able to plan an event that truly reflects us as couple without breaking the bank and sans a large amount of stress.
One company that has helped me in that anti-stress category has been Weddington Way…
Weddington Way is an online boutique that caterers to busy brides and most importantly their busy bridesmaids. It’s a one-stop-shop for the bridal party to come together (virtually) and shop for the perfect bridesmaids dress without distractions, legwork or stress! Gotta love that.
Founders Ilana Stern and Benu Lahiry created the site after dealing with the trials and tribulations of getting a group of girls together to buy dresses for a wedding. I can attest to that stress and wanted to offer my ladies a smoother process–especially since I have 13 (yes…13!) bridesmaids and they live everywhere from Shanghai, China to San Diego, California.
Weddington Way allows the bride to shop a selection of the top bridesmaid dress designers (Lela Rose, Thread and Cynthia Rowley, etc) and filer by style, color, price, theme and more. The bride can then compare their favorites side-by-side using convenient drag and drop tools to create their dream lineup. Once the perfect looks have been selected, they can be shared with the bridesmaids to rank and discuss on a shared social page. Brides are able to track the bridesmaids ranking and order activity online to ensure everything is set for the big day.
I’ve had a wonderful experience with the site and recommend it to anyone planning a wedding (or special event that requires coordinating clothing and schedules). I was blown away by the amazing selection of designers and styles of dresses. You’ll find plenty of options for any type of wedding (casual to black tie).
My wedding is on Martha’s Vineyard and I wanted the bridesmaids dresses to reflect my laid back beach vibe, so I simply picked a dress color (violet or deep purple) on the site and asked my girls to pick a dress that allowed their individual personalities to shine through. Giving them a color also allowed them to pick a dress that was within their budget.
My bridesmaids found the website to be easy to navigate and fun! It served as great place for us to discuss this exciting day and how gorgeous they are going to look in these dresses. I can’t wait to see them all lined up…pretty in purple!
