Three Clutter-Free Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is Sunday and giving your mom flowers or consumable chocolates isn’t the only clutter-free gift-giving option. Try one of these three options:

  1. Day of relaxation. Give mom a day off from being mom. Cook all her meals, run her errands, mow her lawn, wash her car, and clean the house. Make her a crown out of paper, bring her a stack of magazines she’s been meaning to read, and treat her like the queen she is!
  2. Make a donation or volunteer in her name. Is your mom passionate about a particular cause? Is she always on your case to volunteer at her favorite charity? Get out your checkbook or strap on some work boots and help out an organization your mom supports.
  3. Get tickets. Whether they’re gift certificates for movie tickets, tickets for a theater production, tickets to her favorite museum, or tickets to the zoo, give your mom the opportunity to create memories with her family through an experience. Research shows that stuff won’t make you happy, experiences will.
