I visited the Z Gallerie website this weekend and found some great new products for Spring and instantly thought about you — Real Simple readers. After reviewing page after page of items, I narrowed down my favorites to 8 finds for Spring split into two sets of four. I found a gorgeous sofa, a quirky umbrella stand, some lanterns and lamps, a Keep Calm and Carry On candle (of all things!), the perfect round mirror, a bold pillow in black and white and the perfect faux leather storage drawers. Would you like to check them out? Oh good, I was hoping you'd say that!
I really like these items because they're functional but also very posh looking. 1. First up is the absolutely gorgeous slate gray sofa called the Alister for $1,500. I think it's the perfect sofa, the lines, the cushions, the seat depth, arms, legs — even the price is affordable when you compare similar sofas from mid to high end designers. 2. My second pick is the Mariposa floor lamp ($269) and Mariposa table lamp ($139), both I can
imagine in either a living room or on a table in the entryway. 3. The Casablanca lanterns with the lovely cut out patterns resembling Moorish designs giving them a very Moroccan vibe and so they are another favorite of mine. They're available in many colors and in two sizes (small $8 and large $15) but the large black lanterns are my favorites because they'd go beautifully both in and outdoors on the patio this season. 4. The Everglade storage drawers look much nicer than the typical particle board or transparent plastic variety that we're used to seeing. These drawers are white faux leather embossed with a croc pattern and would look great in an office or in the hall to store hats and gloves and are priced between $140-180 depending on size.
1. The Devon mirror for $169 is super! I can see it in a variety of settings and rooms, but I mostly envision it in an entryway over a table or above a bed or small settee style sofa. It's dramatic but again, functional as you can use it to check your lipstick but also to add space and dimension. Mirrors are also excellent for brightening up a room as they bounce light around beautifully. 2. This wellie boot umbrella stand ($50) is darling. I'd own this piece in a second if I didn't have a white ceramic owl about the same size already. 3. A bold, graphic black and white pillow makes such a statement and the Bukhara pillow for $70 is a stylish addition to a room in need of some personality. 4. The Keep Calm And Carry On poster has been a pop icon — now you can even see it on a candle ($25) and I'll admit — it's kitschy (something about those bedazzled sparkling words! ha ha!) but I think that is why I like it — it's tacky but fun!
