You know the drill when it comes to finding jeans: They are too short…too long…too big in the waist…too tight at the waist…won't fit over your shapely thighs…won't hug your slender thighs…not quite the right color…etc…etc!

Ahhhh, what does a gal need to do in order to find a perfectly fitting pair of jeans?

Well apparently, all we need to do is visit indiDenim.com! Thanks to a very passionate fan, I was recently introduced to this company. Known as the leading online denim destination, this site allows you to design your very own jeans down to the smallest details.

AND….if you aren't happy with the final product the company guarantees a full refund on your order. Amazing.

With all that said, I am excited to extend to one of YOU this very unique and fun opportunity to design a pair of jeans! That's right, indiDenim is offering a fabulous GIVEAWAY to one of our readers. So sweet of them!

Simply send me a comment about your biggest jean-hunting woes (we can all learn from each others troubles) and I will randomly (names-in-a-hat style) choose a winner!

Happy individualizing!

My biggest problem is finding something that fits me in the waist but doesn’t have too high a rise! I end up with grandma pants going all the way up to my bra. WTF?

I have trouble finding jeans that are small and fitted up top but long enough with some flare for my long legs and big feet (I am 5’11 with size 11 feet).

My biggest jeans-hunting woe is finding a pair that is just the right length. I am short at 5’1″ and my legs are super short, and I spend forever trying on jeans to find a pair that aren’t too long on me! Lately when I shop it seems like even the petite sizes or the ‘ankle’ length jeans are just way too long on me! It would be fantastic if I could customize my jeans at a site like this!

  4. Matching my waist, to the length, to the stretch. Small waist, short legs, big hips. What a pain to shop! I mostly end up hunting down a tailor to hem!

  5. My biggest problem with pants in general is …everything. I’m 5’3” so I’m shorter than average. Then I have a bigger butt, thighs and hips and a smaller waist so everything that fits my hips and thighs makes the waist band gap. It’s ridiculous.

I’m juuust too tall for petites – they all leave a little bit too much of my ankle exposed, and don’t quite cover the tops of my shoes… but also too short for “regulars” – and can’t always afford to get everything professionally hemmed!

I have a big butt and a small waist. So if I find jeans that fit my waist, I cant get them on. If they make it past my butt, they’re huge around the waist!!

I have no hips or butt to speak of, however I have a not so narrow post-baby waist. So either I have to suffer the embarassment of a muffin top, or look like my jeans are going to sag to the floor. Neither look is very attractive

The biggest problem is without a doubt the waist/hip ratio. I’m petite, but hemming can fix this problem. The waist/hips are always wrong!

For me it’s all about the inseam…I am in between average and tall and we all know that jeans that are hemmed totally look like they were hemmed.

I’m tall, I have smaller waist but I have a booty and big thighs AND chubby knees (yes, it’s possible!!), so this whole skinny jean trend, while adorable, is killing me. And even when I find a pair of jeans that does not make me feel *humiliated*, as soon as I wash them…it’s OVER!

  14. Omg. Want. Seriously, I have 2 pairs of jeans because NOTHING EVER FITS. This sounds amazing. I’m Puerto Rican and jean companies can’t handle the ass ;-) Basically, jeans will be huge in the waist but make my butt look flat (which it is NOT, by any stretch of the imagination). I need pants that fit both my waist and my bum. Pretty please?

My biggest issue is the fact that I need something with some give that isn’t too tight.
I must wear due to DVT (Deep vein throbosis) a compression stocking on my left leg. It is a thigh high version and if I have been on my leg for a time it will swell.
I am looking sor something that will not show the stocking where it starts and I also do not want Mom jeans.
I had jeans I loved when I was growing ups but then they stoped making them. They were Ruff Hewn and well then I went to Lee and loved them. Then they stopped making the version I liked. I haven’t found anything since.

I’ve always had trouble finding jeans – I’m petite and I have no backside. So in order to fit my waist, I end up being a member of the saggy-bottom band. If I fit my backside, it’s uncomfortably tight in the waist. Alas, one day I went to Macy’s to try on as many jeans as I could, desperate for at least ONE pair of jeans. I actually counted that day, and went through 40 different pairs in that sad dressing room. Not one fit. Not one!

I heard about this company a while back and have been curious to try them out. The thing I hate most about buying jeans is that I find a pair that fits in the store, but they never seem to fit the same after I take them home and wash them.

Low Rise jeans are always the right length and fit well around my butt and and thighs but are always TOO Low to where I can’t bend over to take my shoes off and they have unforgiving waistbands that exaggerate my muffin top. Haven’t found the “perfect” pair yet.

When I finally manage to find jeans that fit reasonably in the waist, hips, and thighs and do not drag the ground, THEY SHRINK!!! You never know how much they are going to shrink until you have already bought them, worn them to get that perfect fit, and then washed them. It is so disappointing! And then, on the rare occasion that you do have the perfect pair post-washing, they decide to quit making that style.

    March 12, 2010 at 11:32 pm ·
  25. Jenny

I can never find jeans that fit right! First, I’m plus-size which narrows the field of options a LOT! I also apparently have a weird leg length, somewhere between “short” and “regular” lengths, and am not hippy, which plus-size clothing manufacturers tend to assume we all are.

I hate, hate, hate, hate buying pants! I’ve never had any luck! Every time I find a pair, I gain or lose weight and need to start all over! My biggest problem is that–according to the major clothing makers of the world–my hips and waist aren’t in proportion. What just squeaks over my hips leaves often a several inch loose gap and space over my waist. Major ick!

I have problems with almost every dimension of jeans! I am 5’4″ with short-ish legs, so regular jeans are always too long and petites are too short. I also have a pretty full rear and thighs, but a slim waist, so jeans always have a huge gap in the back. If I can get jeans up over my butt, I can usually fit both of my fists in the waistband at the small of my back! I gave up on wearing jeans for years, then finally bought a pair and spent about $40 having them hemmed and nipped at the waist. Ugh.

Hi and thanks for the chance to win!!!
I’m a tall gal~and I have the most terrible time finding jeans that are long enough. When I finally find them long enough, they have the following problems:
The longs don’t come in the color I like, the rise is too low and everytime I bend down–well, it’s not pretty, or the material is too ‘stretchy’ for me, or the mid section is too long and hangs down like MC Hammer pants. What ever happened to the good old days when you could find jeans that were thicker, lasted longer, and didn’t give the world a ‘plumber’s look’ everytime ya bend down????
AHHHH!!! The dreaded shopping for the perfect jeans!!!

I hate shopping for jeans! I honestly would rather wear the pair I’ve had since freshman year of high school (yes, I still wear them eight years later) than worry the jeans I’ve just bought will stretch and look terrible the next day (yes, it always happens).

Finding the right length is always difficult. More often then not, I have to hem my jeans to accomodate, which never looks perfectly right to me, since I like my jeans with a little wear, and the new hem looks very obvious to me… luckily all people aren’t as crazy as I am to notice when someone else’s jeans are hemmed, heh.

I have the absolute worst time finding jeans that fit right. If they fit in the hips (my largest area) then they are huge in the waist and the length is NEVER right. I have a big butt, almost no hips and a bit of a belly pooch — any jeans that can go past my behind and button over my belly still leave me with a weird bunching in the front of my jeans. Tailoring is so expensive and unless its the plainest pair of jeans, tailoring will just ruin the design anyway. I’ve been getting by wearing longer shirts over my jeans, tucking in is not pretty!

I’m only about 4’11″ but I’m fairly normally proportioned and my figure is pretty much a small hourglass and I have muscular thighs. So it’s hard finding the right leg length, curves, zipper length, rise, and waist size combination. I hem everything so as long as I can get a cut that is hem friendly and fits in the waits/hips/crotch, I’m good to go but it’s still an adventure in frustration sometimes.

I’m lucky to be able to wear jeans almost every day at work, because I love jeans! But I hate shopping for them. As a tall(ish)I struggle to find the perfect fit. Regulars are just a bit too short and just one husband-does-the-laundry-day could shrink them past the point of no return. At best they have no heel-height versatility. Most tall sizes are way too long. I usually grow to love the pair that fits best, and wear them in until they feel like a part of my body. By then they wear out and must be retired and by then, even if I could find another pair it wouldn’t be the same. Sad!
