Add Some Oomph!

I found some tables, pillows and chairs today on the Oomph website, are you familiar with them? If not, today is your lucky day because this online shop is fantastic and full of gorgeous things for the home. I have a crush on their many gorgeous tables available in some fantastic colors that you can select from for a more personalized piece for your home.

I find it helpful that they show some of their things in situ because it really helps if one has a hard time visualizing how something will look in their own space. Sites showing how products look in the home or office tend to attract a broader audience because shopping online can feel so disconnected otherwise, do you know what I mean? I don't like to see objects floating against a white background all of the time, especially when it comes to home items. I want to see them in a real space. Anyone out there with me on this?

You may wonder why Oomph carries only chairs, pillows and tables… why only three? "Friends Amy Rice, Patty Hopple, and architect Louise Brooks came up with the notion that three simple elements of great design can totally transform any room. In other words, beautifully made tables, chairs, and pillows can add oomph to any nest."

I like that they focus on three and yes, they are right — a chair, a pillow, a colorful side table — all set a home apart from the rest and are so versatile as they can be moved around in a home frequently to give to create a fresh, new look unlike sofas and wall units. Many of us tend to get bored with our interiors quickly and that is why pillows, chairs and tables are fantastic investments — we can easily move them around which transform the entire space. Decor boredom solved!

Have a lovely weekend, Real Simple readers. It's nice to have spent this week with you, as always. I'll be back again on Monday with more home related goodies to share.

This is crazy! The prices on these items are outrageous. Who would pay hundreds of dollars for a decorative pillow?

If you want to spend more then $200 for a pillow then I guess this is a good website!

  7. Count me in as another “it’s adorable, but waaay too expensive.” I’ve been wanting their ‘Tini Table for some time, but… over $400?! No way. I’m stunned they’re able to sell anything for that price these days, no matter how cute it is.

  8. Beautifully made in CT! All hand-sanded to obtain the smooth finish before coats and coats of paint are applied to get that gleaming lacquer gloss with meticulous attention paid to every detail. These are not mass produced items, every table is individually made from start to finish. They are gorgeous!

Any idea how to recreate the teal/torqouise table?? I absolutely love it but I make $4,000 (the cost of the table) in two months!!
Any ideas of a less expensive white table and paint color to use?
