I love sending cards—holiday cards, birthday cards, cards for no reason. But I generally leave Valentine's Day cards out of the mix, primarily because I'm still wiped out from sending holiday cards. (I actually made my cards for the first time this year. I was pretty excited with how they turned out, you can see a photo here.)

But this year, I'm reconsidering because I was tipped off to the Virtual Valentines section of Red Stamp's site. There are six designs, and four different delivery options, two of which will cost you absolutely nothing. Here are the four options:

  • A digital sticker & digital card to share via email, facebook, twitter, or on your blog.
  • Professionally printed personalized cards (sadly, the printing deadline for this has passed)
  • A personalized PDF that you can print at home and then mail ($5.99)
  • A standard PDF you can download, print, and personalize by hand.

And look how fun the designs are:

I think these would also be great for kid's Valentines that you have to take to school. Buy a package of card stock and let your child write a personal message on the back. They're much more fun that the ones you buy in the boxes at the drug store.

Will you be sending Valentine's Day cards this year?

I always send valentines–probably to about a dozen people–grandchildren, children, and some aunts and uncles! I send them by snail mail since it if fun to open the box and actually find something more than bills and flyers.
